Okay, so I swear I am going to get better at this. Its really time.
So we have a couple of hours to go before the election, and things have been going well.
As much as I have strived to not make this blog about me, that is exactly what I intend to do for the next few days. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to be in Chicago on election night. Obama was considering an outdoor event in the city, and due to the fact that I am unemployed I thought there would be no better way for me to spend my time.
I booked a hotel room right across the street from Grant Park, and bought train tickets for the day of. I voted absentee, and took a job at Jester's bar so that I could raise a little cash before I go. All the right things were in place.
Then the asshole announces that he is going to require tickets to get into Grant Park. Fuck. So now I don't know what I am going to do.
So now I am just going to go to Chicago and try to figure it out.
As Dan so cogently pointed out, this blog has been sleeping since I got fired. This is true because every time I go onto my computer I basically spend my time trying desperately to get another radio job and jerking off to internet porn. This leaves very little time for tumbrel updating. I haven't really been able to focus. To remedy this, in order to get back in the habit of updating this site, I will be giving constant updates on my journey to see Barack Obama in Grant Park. Its a journey of hope, really, so that fits in with one of the themes of the campaign. The fun part about this is unlike most television shows or documentaries, you really don't know how this story will end. It could be a complete disaster where I have wasted a bunch of money I don't have while I am unemployed.
So the tumbrel has risen again. Tell your friends.
